Fishing-Tales, Why do Fish Really Bite?
Fishing-Tales I wrote this a short time ago and I thought you mite like it.
Imagine being a fish and seeing that fresh live worm floating before you. Are you going to bite it or are you going to swim away from it? In this fishing tale, let’s just say you’re really hungry and you see that worm. Are you just going to nibble around it? The fish have choices, so why is it some of them decide to eat the entire hook?
According to Jim, the owner of the local bait shop, he said that these are the reasons why:
-
The line diameter. Fish don’t need to see your line. If they do, they know what’s going on. They’re not stupid. They know when they’re being captured.
-
Fish bite based on the weather they are more active in. Certain fish bite better in certain types of weather, so it is good to find out what weather works for the fish that you’re trying to catch.
-
You’ll get more bites when the moon phase is new.
Who knew that all of these things made a difference? Now if I were a fish and I looked around and didn’t see a line or anything else indicating a fisherman, I would probably go for the worm and hope that I wasn’t being fished. I’m sure there are plenty of fish out there who have fishing-tales. Some of them have been caught and thrown back and some of them have had close calls. So if they could talk, they would probably have a fishing story or two to tell.
Fishing-Tales Editor: Thanks Sara but lets face it fish are stupid its just on some days they are still smarter than we are!
