My favorite bait for anytime of the year, conditions is an 3″ tube bait. Its my go to bait if nothings working
During the winter months I like to use a medium diving Crank Bait, 10-15 ft.
I like spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
By the way, medium running crankbaits are in the 6-8 or 10 foot range, not 10-15…those would be deep running.
Soft plastics or a jig and pig (or craw worm trailer), spinnerbait, topwater. If you could come up with a no-compromise bait with all the best qualities of each of these in one “ultimate bass fishing lure” you would have achieved the unachievable. I will purchase a dozen of each color, size, etc…
Good luck with that!
my favorites, are
top water ( including popping bugs, on a fly rod )
plastic lizzards &
jigs
I always fish soft baits, lizards and worms mainly. They are very versatile. I can fish them weedless, top water, shallow or deep.
White spinnerbait.
