Fishing-Tales see what you think about my story I hope you like it enough to post it.I wanted to go Crappie fishing, so I stocked up on my live minnows since that is their favorite food. I took off to my favorite pier with my minnow bucket in hand. I don’t know what’s more fun-catching the minnows or catching the fish.
So I headed to my favorite pier after night fell since Crappies are easier to catch at night and I positioned my Crappie light over the water. I lowered my size 8 bait hook down with the bobber and waited for the Crappie to start going for the bugs attracted to the light. That’s when I found it…a car in the water. This isn’t just one of my fishing-tales. This is not a tall fishing story. There really was a car in the water and obviously no one had ever noticed before.
I left everything and ran home to call the cops. I told them that there was a car. I saw the headlight and I saw that it was attached to something, which I assumed was the rest of the car. When the cops arrived, they confirmed what I found. They didn’t accuse me of being a kid looking for good fishing stories. They actually took my call seriously.
I later found out that the car belonged to a member of the mob from around 1920. He had dumped his car when he was caught committing a crime and the car was actually evidence. So how is that for a fishing tale? That is one to tell for years to come.

Fishing-Tales I wrote this a short time ago and I thought you mite like it.
Imagine being a fish and seeing that fresh live worm floating before you. Are you going to bite it or are you going to swim away from it? In this fishing tale, let’s just say you’re really hungry and you see that worm. Are you just going to nibble around it? The fish have choices, so why is it some of them decide to eat the entire hook?
According to Jim, the owner of the local bait shop, he said that these are the reasons why:

There is a man in my town who tells fishing-tales about his efforts to catch smallmouth bass. Now it may not sound too much like a very good story, but he says that something very large grabbed hold of his line and pulled him out of his boat and into the water. Smallmouth Bass won’t do that.
In this fishing story, he says that he brought light gear along with him because these fish are hard fighters. The lighter gear makes it easier to control the fish once it starts fighting. Very light rods and reels make fishing for smallmouth Bass much more fun. He had used a jitterbug as his top water bait and was just waiting to get a bite.
Suddenly, his fishing tale becomes a bit more interesting. He says that the bug went well under the water and the line became tight. He thought he had a Smallmouth Bass that was fighting him. This was not good because he was close to jagged rocks. Jagged rocks are great places to find Smallmouth Bass. He wasn’t sure how deep the water was, which also made him think he might have been caught on something, but this was moving. It was fighting him and he eventually lost his footing.
Once he finally fell into the water and was under the surface, he said he was eye to eye with something that looked like an over sized smallmouth bass. This is one of those fishing-tales that has everyone asking, “Was it really?”
Fishing-Tales wants to Know. Was it? Come on Jim tell me!!

Fishing-Tales this is what my grandpa taught me. My grandpa taught me a lot of things about fishing. Sometimes he did it by showing me and other times he did it by telling me fishing stories that would teach a lesson. Here is one of the fishing-tales he told me when I was around twelve years old:
There was this man who refused to fish and when the great depression of 1929 occurred, his family began to starve. His wife would say, “You need to go out there and catch fish. That’s the only way we’re going to eat.” He would go out for hours and pretend he went to the lake, but he really didn’t go.
Finally, the day came that he was starving to death and he decided it was time that he do what it takes to make sure his family was fed. This fishing tale is one of desperation, which teaches a great lesson about fishing. He remembered things that his own grandpa had told him about fishing. Those things were:
With this, he brought a meal home to his family and you know who this man was? This man was my great grandfather and my grandpa was one of the starving children in this fishing tale.
